Jennie Montana sees a wool cape and coat as a canvas. Montana’s promise of wilderness and wildlife draws people to live in her landscape. We have our favorites, from our declared spirit animals to the seasonal return of the red-winged blackbird, announcing spring has arrived.  Jennie's coats and capes are statement pieces that boldly declare affection for the natural world we live in. All the design work is original.

To create her womens western coats, certain motifs are hand drawn, then digitized and embroidered. Appliqué is hand-cut using a variety of fabrics and techniques to embellish. Every piece is wearable art to be seen and noticed at dinner, the theatre, a fundraiser, or a gallery opening. They can also be displayed as a wall hanging. Jennie Montana uses bison trim, she has collected and stretched herself,  furthering her connection to Big Sky Country, making it uniquely centered upon the animal that defines the Montana landscape.  Recently, Jennie showed her capes at the 2026 Western Design Conference, Bozeman, MT,  and won a blue ribbon as: Best Fashion Show Collection.  This is Jennie Montana's second first place win in a row at the WDC.
