Fashion Designer
Jennie Montana, (named after her paternal grandmother, Erie Montana) sat as a child with her mother and grandmother as they embroidered and knit. A local sewing teacher took her on as a nine-year-old, and she began sewing her own clothes. Today this 4th-generation Montanan, and an award-winning fashion designer, gathers and processes bison fibers — which would otherwise be discarded after harvesting — then incorporates them into trims, accents, and knitwear in her one-of-a-kind fashion pieces.
